Schleppy Schmucks – #01

Just so it’s known and understood. I’m trying to encourage more discipline so we get really good at a set of songs. Hopping around can be fun but can also prevent us from getting to a performance level. The idea of below is that the first song listed is one I know we know and have done well with. The (parenthesis) indicates other songs from that artist we’ve done before more than once that can be equally or similar valid suggestions to that end. Of course this is to be seen as a suggestion and I hope you also like the list. Plenty of groups and tunes that we’ve all seemed to collect on in our previous sessions. Of course we can discuss further and refine it. Be cool if we can get most of a set to a point where we don’t need music books and can really perform them (right?)

Pink Floyd – Young Lust – Vid | Chords – (Eclipse, Comfortably Numb, Another Brick in the Wall, Have a Cigar, Time, Wish you were here)
Rolling Stones – Angie (It’s only rock and roll, Paint it Black, Play with Fire*)
Tom Petty – Refugee (American Girl, I won’t back down, Mary Janes last dance, The Waiting)
Beatles – A day in the life (Come Together, Eleanor Rigby, Golden Slumbers Medley, Maxwells SIlver Hammer, LSD, Norweigian Wood )
Bill Withers – Lean on me (Ain’t no sunshine)
Creedence Clearwater Revival – Down on the Corner (Born on the Bayou, Bad Moon Rising, Proud Mary)
David Bowie – Ziggy Stardust (Space Oddity, Suffragette City)
Doors – Light my Fire (L.A. Woman)
Blondie – Call Me (Heart of Glass)
Jefferson Airplane – White Rabbit
REM – Losing My Religion (The one I love)
Who – Behind Blue Eyes (Squeezebox)
